About Tyson Millar
Started shooting film photography after graduating from school in the ‘early-noughties’. It was an alternative to the formative years of the digital revolution.
Living in London, over 10 years ago, it brought focus to a broad range of subjects. So much to observe, so much to shoot; street, style, fashion, portraits, and all the odd things of a big city. It also revealed (to myself) more about me, than my subjects. Photography has always been a vehicle & a voice; for me to travel and tell stories through my photos.
Now based out of Bondi, Australia I shoot a broad range of genres from reportage to portraiture, landscape and particularly engaging in storytelling through imagery. Clients include: Akubra, James Boags, Tourism Snowy Mountains to name a few.
Having worked in the exhibition of photographic artwork for over 10 years, I also have extensive working knowledge in end-to-end gallery operations, allowing me to curate, build, hang and strategically deal in photographic artwork.
Outside of working in the photography industry I spend considerable time in and around the Aussie Alpine region, across all seasons. My latest series; ‘The Australian Alps‘ is merely an introduction to my image catalogue of Kosciuszko National Park.
