Respite In The Snowy Monaro

Sunset drinks at Avonside, Snowy Mountains NSW

I completed a multi-day job with Riparide last March. Riparide is a tourism brand that represents getting out of town, leaving the hustle & bustle for adventurous escapes throughout the state. My assignment; to document THIS accommodation and uncover some local adventures.

After several hours on the road as the golden hour neared, we had finally arrived.

Perched at 1250m above sea level, we were greeted at the gates of Avonside by twelve burly highland cows. Their inquisitive, gentle nature immediately transported us into a relaxed state.

Avonside Cabin Snowy Mountains

Throughout the three-day stay in the region, we climbed Carruther’s Peak (2,145m), swam in Blue Waterholes at the North of Kosciuszko National Park, and went on a farm tour of the Avonside property.
